Invoices

Invoices lists every invoice and credit note, with tabs by status and a client filter. At the top: Outstanding (issued, not yet paid), Overdue, Paid this year (since 1 January) and Drafts.

A new invoice

Press New invoice. Choose the client, an optional project and a period, and optionally add the period's unbilled time straight away. This starts a draft. Add a client on Clients first if it's new.

Editing a draft

Drafts are fully editable:

• Lines: add, edit, move up or down, delete. Each has a title, detail, quantity, unit and unit price.
• Add unbilled time: billable hand entries become human hours; Claude sessions become supervised and agent hours at the client's rates. Time already on another invoice is skipped.
• Details: dates, currency and exchange rate, client reference, notes.
• "Check with the agent" lists problems before you issue.

Issuing

Issue lists anything that blocks it in plain words, such as a missing billing address. Issuing gives the next number, freezes the document with today's company, bank and client details, locks the billed time, and records it in the ledger. An issued invoice can't be edited.

After issuing

• Mark as sent (and undo).
• Payments: record the amount, date and method. Payments can't exceed the balance. A payment can be removed.
• Chase payment: "Draft reminder" writes a reminder whose tone follows how overdue it is.
• Create credit note: up to the original amount.
• Void with a reason: this unlocks the billed time.

Paid, overdue and sent follow from payments and dates.

Print or PDF

"Print / PDF" opens an A4 page, always light. It says "Tax Invoice" or "Invoice" depending on VAT status, and shows bank details, the balance due and an exchange-rate line where needed. A draft is marked "Draft preview: not a valid invoice until issued." An optional appendix, "delivered with AI", splits the hours into human, supervised AI and agent hours, with the traditional-build estimate. Use "Print or save as PDF".
