Drafted timesheets
On the Day page, "Draft this day" turns tracked work into proposed entries. It works for today and past days.
What gets drafted
- Claude drafts: stretches of the same project's sessions within 15 minutes of each other join into one span, trimmed to your own time. A draft needs at least 10 minutes at the keyboard. The note is the session titles and the kind is coding.
- Bridges: a 15 to 60 minute stretch between two spans of the same project, such as reviewing, testing or waiting on a build.
- Untracked gaps: work-hours time (weekdays 08:00 to 18:00, 30 minutes or more) with nothing tracked. Each gap has a hint, for example which project Claude worked on nearby.
Time where only the AI was working is never drafted: the agent working alone is not your time. Time already covered by an entry is never drafted again. Times are whole minutes.
Deciding each draft
- Accept: saves it as a normal entry, with all the usual checks.
- Edit, then save: opens the entry form filled in.
- Reject: removes it. Similar drafts stay away when you redraft.
Gap drafts can't be accepted untouched, because they need you to say what you did. Pressing Accept twice can't create two entries.
"Redraft" proposes again; rejected and accepted spans stay away. A line shows "Draft accuracy so far", from what you accepted, edited and rejected.
AI labels
Drafts start with the session titles as their notes. If your runner is set up, Cardinal asks your computer's claude for better kinds and notes. It never changes times, project, client or billable. When the labels come back they replace the titles on drafts you haven't decided yet. The "AI labels" panel shows the job's progress.
