Deals and cost per deal
Deals is for execs and the workspace owner. Every Claude Code session started inside a deal folder counts towards that deal.
Deal folders
Folders follow the pattern Work/CODE/deal-name, where CODE is the client's code. A session in Work/CITYPWR/dashboard-revamp counts towards that client's deal "dashboard-revamp". Codes match regardless of case. A folder whose code matches no client stays unattributed.
Add client codes under Client codes on this page. Sessions recorded before a code existed get their deal when you next open the page.
New folders to review
Folders Claude Code was used in that aren't deals yet. Give each a title and a stage and press "Start counting". Until then it is left out of the win rate.
Stages
Lead, prospect, scoping, costing, delivering, invoicing, then paid or lost. Move a deal along as it happens; each change is kept, so cost can be split by stage. Enter the deal's value too.
How cost is worked out
Cost = each person's hands-on hours times their cost per hour, plus their seat's share for the time spent on the deal. Set each person's cost per hour on their member page; a deal row warns "No cost rate" naming anyone missing one.
The figures
- Cost per won deal: the cost of won and lost deals, divided by deals won. Lost deals are part of what each won deal cost.
- Win rate: won against lost.
- Lead to paid: median days over won deals.
- Open pipeline: the value of open deals.
Open deals shows hands-on and Claude working hours, people cost, AI cost and total. Finished deals splits cost by stage, with value and margin.
If there is no exchange rate yet, AI cost can't be shown in rands and totals stay blank until the rate job runs.
