Today: your home page

Getting started. Today is a short personal briefing computed from your numbers: one headline figure, what to do next, your agents' items and your day.

Today is the home page. Everything on it is computed by code from your own numbers, so it works with no AI at all. AI only adds words if you ask for them.

The headline

One figure at the top, with a link to where it comes from:

  • the workspace owner: leverage over the last 7 days (AI wall-clock against your hours), linking to Insights
  • execs and managers: Claude working hours for the company or the people you see, linking to Team
  • everyone else: your own hands-on time against Claude's, linking to My Claude

Do next

Up to five recommendations, picked by rules:

  • overdue invoices
  • unbilled hours
  • budgets at 90% burn or more
  • projects or deals with no price
  • work earning below your floor rate
  • a timer left running
  • projects without a label
  • an idle Claude seat

Where your time and money went

On My Claude (the workspace owner also sees it on Insights › Summary). Today and this week. For the workspace owner's tracker it is split by client and project; for team members it is split by deal. Each row shows human hours, AI hours and rands.

Is it worth it

On My Claude and Insights › Summary, for the workspace owner and anyone who sees deals. Each active project or deal gets a verdict:

  • Too early: not enough time or money yet to judge.
  • No price: nothing earned, quoted or budgeted. Set a price.
  • Losing money: costs are above what it brings in.
  • Below floor: the work earns less per hour than your floor rate, or the budget is spent.
  • Watch (open work) or Thin (finished work): only just above your floor, or close to its budget.
  • On track (open work) or Worth it (finished work): comfortably above your floor.

Each verdict has a worth score: 50 means exactly at your floor rate, 75 means 1.5 times your floor, and 100 means twice your floor or better. Set your floor in Settings, under Pricing floor.

Your team (managers and execs)

Your people's numbers are on Team, not on Today. You only see people, and periods, that the reporting tree lets you see.

Your day and Ask Cardinal

Beside the briefing, "Your day" lists the meetings left today once your runner has read your calendar for Plan, with a link to Plan. Like Plan, only you see it. "Ask Cardinal" answers a question about your own numbers.

Write my briefing

The "Write my briefing" button queues a job for the Cardinal runner on your computer, which runs your own claude -p on your own Claude plan. While it waits, the page shows "Waiting for your computer…". See "How your briefing is written" for what Claude may and may not do.

From your agents

Under Do next, "From your agents" lists the most urgent items your agents found, each linking to the page it lives on. The workspace owner finds "Cash, next 13 weeks" on Invoices. See "Your agents" for how each one works.
